The Venture Capital Group at Taylor Wessing has advised free mobile phone service Trutap on a $6.5 million second round fundraising.

Taylor Wessing had advised Trutap on a previous funding, with this latest round bringing the total raised to $13 million.

Trutap currently operates in over 200 countries across the world. It is a free mobile service aimed at 18 to 24 year-olds that, for the first time, combines all the elements of a user's social life into one application. This latest funding comes on the heels of its Beta launch at TechCrunch40, in San Francisco and will be used for further service development, team strengthening and marketing activities across key regions.

The Taylor Wessing team advising Trutap was led by top-ranked Corporate Partner, Simon Walker, working alongside Corporate Associate Adrian Rainey.
