Taylor Wessing advises on $23m sale of Sibelius to Avid

Taylor Wessing has advised the shareholders of Sibelius Software Limited, the world market leader in software for writing, teaching and publishing music, on the $23m/£12.5m sale of the company to Avid, the world leader in digital media creation tools for film, video, audio, animation, games, and broadcast professionals.

This deal will further expand Avid's brand portfolio, while Sibelius will continue to develop and market its own line of software through Digidesign, a business unit of Avid's audio software.
