Taylor Wessing advises Elata on its £31m sale to Qualcomm

Taylor Wessing's Cambridge office has advised the shareholders of UK-based Elata (Holdings) Limited, a global leader in mobile content delivery software, in relation to the £31m disposal of Elata to Qualcomm (UK) Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc.

US-based Qualcomm, a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, intends this acquisition to further extend its European reach, whilst simultaneously expanding its product offerings for European wireless operators.

The Taylor Wessing team advising Elata's shareholders was led by Cambridge head, Simon Walker, and comprised Julia Gooch, Michelle Rodriguez (both corporate) and numerous specialist lawyers.

Covington & Burling advised Qualcomm.
