A new home for Taylor Wessing in London
Taylor Wessing is delighted to announce that our London office will be moving to 5 New Street Square, one of four new buildings currently being built by Land Securities Plc on New Fetter Lane EC4. Contracts for the 17-year lease were exchanged on 01 November.
The development - already being dubbed as the "Broadgate of Midtown" - is a 730,000 sq ft mixed-use estate designed by award-winning architects Bennetts Associates that will include cafés, restaurants and other shops set around an attractive pedestrian square. Taylor Wessing will be taking 166,000 sq ft on nine of the eleven floors in the building, which represents a 65% increase in our current premises capacity.
Taylor Wessing’s Managing Partner Michael Frawley, comments:
"Our current home at Carmelite, Victoria Embankment, has served us well for the past 13 years but we are fast outgrowing it. The move to New Street Square will provide us with a modern working environment and an excellent platform from which to service our clients. The new office space is also flexible enough to absorb our future growth and reflects our confidence in meeting our ambitious growth targets."
The move is planned for early 2009. It follows on from further expansion throughout Taylor Wessing's pan-European network. Most recently, our Hamburg office relocated to the iconic glass tower of the Hanseatic Trade Centre, one of the highest buildings in Hamburg that forms the gateway to Hamburg’s new Harbour City development.
