Taylor Wessing launch two Bermuda-based funds

Taylor Wessing has advised on the creation of QM Active Alpha Fund Limited, a Bermuda-based hedge fund listed on the Irish Stock Exchange and QM Premier Fund Limited, a Bermuda-based futures fund. Both of these funds were launched on 16 March 2004.

The Investment Manager for these new funds is QuantMetrics Capital Management LLP, a UK-based Financial Services Authority regulated investment manager which Taylor Wessing also helped in setting up.

Corporate partner Joe Coffey, assisted by Jonathan Overett Somnier, both specialists in funds and financial services at Taylor Wessing, and Bermudan lawyers Mello Jones & Martin advised on the setting up of these funds.

The Administrator for both funds is Tranaut Fund Administration Limited. The prime broker for QM Active Alpha Fund is Lehman Brothers International (Europe) with Davy International in Dublin acting as sponsoring broker.
