Taylor Wessing has acted for Corporación Dermoestética SA, the Spanish cosmetic surgery group, on its acquisition of all the issued share capital of Ultralase Limited from its management shareholders and the private equity firm, Granville Baird Capital Partners.

Corporación Dermoestética SA acquired this business, a leading chain of UK corrective eye laser clinics, for £30 million and intends to use the acquisition of Ultralase's 12 established clinics across the UK as a platform to further expand laser eye treatment and cosmetic surgery in the UK and Irish markets.

An existing client of Taylor Wessing, this transaction is the first substantial piece of work the firm has advised on for Corporación Dermoestética in the UK.  The Taylor Wessing team was led by corporate partner, Tim Oldridge, and included Julia Gooch and Andrew Fleming (corporate), Elizabeth Small (tax), Graham Williams (real estate). Graham Hann (intellectual property) and Gemma Lane (employment).

Ian Gilbert from Walker Morris led the team advising the vendors.
