Triple nomination for Taylor Wessing in The Lawyer Awards 2011
Taylor Wessing has been shortlisted for three awards by the judging panel for The Lawyer Awards 2011.
Law Firm of the Year: This nomination follows a strong 12 months that have seen Taylor Wessing undergo a comprehensive rebrand and the introduction of a Global Key Client programme, a renewed geographic strategy, a lateral hires programme that has been widely recognized for its success and, most recently, the launch of New Street Solutions, a revolutionary technology powered legal business service.
Middle East Team of the Year: In the last 12 months Taylor Wessing's Middle East practice has advised on some of the most notable and complex transactions in the region, including the first investment structure to be established in the Dubai International Financial Centre (”DIFC”) under the DIFC’s new Collective Investment Law enacted in July 2010; and the largest mezzanine investment deal in the Middle East to date. This nomination follows a commendation for the Firm's Islamic Finance team in the 2010 FT Innovative Lawyers Report.
Partner of the Year: Tim Eyles, Taylor Wessing's UK Managing Partner, has been shortlisted this prestigious award for the part he has played in driving the Firm forward through a number of international, strategic initiatives since his appointment in 2009.
The Lawyer Awards, now in its seventeenth year, is a benchmark for excellence within the legal profession across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry, and the Bar. Research for the awards involves interviews with hundreds of lawyers and their clients, which are reviewed by a judging panel made up of leading figures from within City institutions and the media.
