TMT-transaction-expert Dr. Mark Hoenike joins Taylor Wessing from Allen & Overy
Renowned transaction lawyer Dr. Mark Hoenike Hoenike, one of Germany’s most prominent transaction specialists in the TMT sector, has joined Taylor Wessing’s M&A practice group in Hamburg.
Since 2001 Dr Hoenike had been partner at Allen & Overy, where he was head of the global Communications Group. Before joining Allen & Overy he was a partner at White & Case - first in Brussels, then in Hamburg.
He has led a large number of high-volume and complex transactions of some of the world’s leading companies, such as Swisscom, Cisco, Nokia, Otto-Group, Flag Telecom and Global Connect.
Speaking about joining Taylor Wessing Dr. Mark Hoenike said:
"In view of my clients the decision to switch to Taylor Wessing was the right move for me. Taylor Wessing’s Technology/IP practice is one of the strongest in Germany and consistently expanding. That is the foundation for powerful, multi-sector transaction teams consisting of both corporate and IP/IT lawyers. These teams generate a real surplus value for their clients. It is an attractive challenge for me to further expand these interdisciplinary teams.
Negotiations proceeded professionally, smoothly and quickly. The chemistry is right and I am looking forward to a good collaboration with my new colleagues at Taylor Wessing in Hamburg and elsewhere. “
Speaking about the arrival of Dr Hoenike, Dr. Peter Hellich the head of the Corporate Group in Germany, says:
"We are delighted that Dr. Mark Hoenike decided to join us. With him, we will be able to further secure our consistent and dynamic growth in the corporate area, in particular of our TMT transactions practice. The fact that we were recently joined by lawyers like Kampshoff, Kammerer-Galahn, Moelle and now Hoenike demonstrates that we are consistently widening our industry focus in areas of growth. The momentum we are gaining from our combined focus on corporate and IP/IT is remarkable“.
