(Fisher v Brooker)
On 30 July 2009 Matthew Fisher, organist with the band Procol Harum in the 1960s, won his four-year court battle over authorship and royalties in connection with the song, "A Whiter Shade of Pale". The decision was handed down by the House of Lords, the UK's highest court. The case was brought by Mr Fisher 38 years after the band made the first recording of the song.
