Taylor Wessing’s Private Client group continues to attract top new talent

Taylor Wessing’s reputation as one of only a handful of City law firms with real strength in the private client field is fast making the firm the first choice for the brightest up and coming private client lawyers across the city. 

The group is delighted to announce the arrival of seven new associates. They will join the group’s eight partners and existing associates to advise the group’s growing client list. The new hires include:

  • Rachel Davison - joined from Reed Smith
  • Alexander Erskine – joined from Herbert Smith
  • Kate Buchanan – will join shortly from Herbert Smith
  • Clare Ludlam - joining shortly from Farrers
  • Charlotte Sumption - a probate specialist who will join from Bircham Dyson Bell
  • Luke Callaghan - an agricultural law specialist joining from Birketts, and
  • Caroline Tayler - who qualified at Taylor Wessing and joined the group as a newly qualified solicitor in 2010

Taylor Wessing’s Private Client team comprises acknowledged experts in international and UK trusts and estates, with particular regard to multi-jurisdictional tax issues. The team also advises clients on domestic and international probate, residential and agricultural property and contentious trusts.  The team has grown by over 50% in the last four years and is committed to further expansion to secure its top-ranked status in the field.
