Taylor Wessing's tax team wins new partner for Düsseldorf practice
Dr. Bert Kimpel (34) joined the tax team of Taylor Wessing in Düsseldorf this month. Dr. Kimpel was previously Senior Manager in the Financial Services Tax department of PwC since 2006, and prior to that, had spent several years at the Düsseldorf office of Lovells, where he specialised in transaction tax law and tax structuring.
Dr. Kimpel started specialising at an early stage, which allowed him to develop far-reaching expertise especially in tax-effective acquisition finance, funds structuring, devising tax-optimised investment concepts and loss utilisation strategies, as well as transaction management in national and cross-border deals. His clients primarily include banks and insurance companies, private equity investors and industrial undertakings.
