Westphalen team joins Taylor Wessing in Berlin
Corporate lawyer and notary Roman Bärwaldt (44), M&A specialist Dr. Burkhard Frisch LL.M. (43), real estate partner Dr. Patrick Brock (35) and tax lawyer Thomas Wisniewski (42) have joined the Taylor Wessing Berlin office as partners, a further step of the law firm to expand the Berlin office and substantially broaden the spectrum of services offered.
Roman Bärwaldt, who originally worked for Clifford Chance together with Patrick Brock and Thomas Wisniewski, is a highly recognised corporate structuring expert and notary. He has authored many publications relating to corporate transformation, often jointly with Thomas Wisniewski, specialist in transformation tax law and author of a pertinent commentary. Burkhard Frisch, a corporate specialist, used to work at Beiten Burkhardt and is specialising in transactions. He and Patrick Brock currently act in many major real estate portfolio sales (most recently for Hamburg Berlin Immobilien and an architects’ partnership under the German Civil Code, JUVE 05/07, pp. 73 and 74). Patrick Brock maintains excellent contacts to the Warburg group and international investors who engage him for real estate acquisition deals on a regular basis.
