Taylor Wessing on track for a successful year

European law firm Taylor Wessing LLP has acheived a turnover of £77 million for the first half of the 2009/10 financial year. While this represents a decrease of 15% as compared to last year, the Firm is well on the way to hitting financial targets for 2009/10.

Tim Eyles, Managing Partner, comments:

"In the context of the wider economic climate, it is no surprise that many firms have experienced a decrease in turnover for the first half of this year as compared to last year. Looking forward, we are already seeing an increase in activity and are confident that we will remain on track to hit our targets for this financial year. 

"We think the current markets, although competitive, offer excellent opportunities for a firm with our international reach and diversity of practice. Over the last six months, we have had several significant client wins, notably in the areas of finance and technology; and are increasing our focus on industry sectors we see as having the greatest potential. To strengthen our offering in key areas we are also pursuing an active lateral hire programme."
