Taylor Wessing named Law Firm of the Year by European Venture Capital Journal
Taylor Wessing has been voted Law Firm of the Year at the European Venture Capital Journal (EVCJ) Awards. The Awards ceremony took place at The Dorchester, London, on Wednesday 28 January.
In what has been a difficult year for many deal makers, this award highlights Taylor Wessing's strong track record in the private equity and venture capital sectors. In the last 18 months the 50-strong international team has acted on more than £1.5 billion of deals, while in the UK alone in 2008, Taylor Wessing has advised on more than £430 million worth of funds raised. 2008 also saw Taylor Wessing double the number of private equity houses for whom it acts. New clients include Ion Equity, Bridgepoint, Greenhill Capital and Graphite Capital.
EVCJ, a Thomson Reuters publication, is the leading and longest-established European venture capital and private equity magazine, having celebrated its 25-year anniversary in 2008.
