Taylor Wessing launches new media and technology website with Media Guardian
International law firm Taylor Wessing has collaborated with Media Guardian to launch an online hub of thought leadership and debate about legal developments in the technology and media industries. The website is now live at www.guardian.co.uk/media-tech-law.
The website will be a resource for media and technology businesses who are looking to develop, finance or exploit new developments across the now rapidly converging sectors.
Throughout 2011 Media Guardian will produce commentary and interview key stakeholders including leading business movers, legal commentators and regulators to produce up to the minute insight, guidance and analysis on the latest developments in media and technology.
Speaking about the launch of the new website, Taylor Wessing’s media partner Niri Shan and technology partner Graham Hann comment:
“People have been talking about convergence for a long time, but the prevailing view is that it's finally arrived, and the pace of change in the sector has never been more rapid. We're excited about launching the website, and partnering with Media Guardian, as this supports our long standing focus on the technology and media sectors.
We're increasingly working with our clients on exciting projects driven by convergence in these areas, not least through the power of smart devices such as tablets, the availability of cheap bandwidth driving Cloud models, and the drive to monetise content in ways that reflect consumer needs. The new website will enable us to add further spark to the debate on future developments across the space, including who the winners will be in terms of winning a share of the new market.”
Dan Sabbagh, Head of Media and Technology at The Guardian comments:
“We are pleased to form this partnership with Taylor Wessing, which we believe will generate consistent, high quality coverage about a subject that rarely gets treated seriously and in depth in the national press - even though our own business depends on it".
