Taylor Wessing announces second finance partner hire for 2012
International law firm Taylor Wessing today announces the second partner addition to its finance team for 2012. Elisabeth Gaunt will join the Finance group on 9 January, just one week after Ross Caldwell joined the team from Dundas & Wilson.
Elisabeth joins Taylor Wessing from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and prior to that was a partner in the banking group of Denton Wilde Sapte. She is well known for her work in telecom finance, trade and cash products and receivables financings, and brings with her strong links to support Taylor Wessing's established expertise in the energy, infrastructure and telecoms sectors.
Elisabeth Gaunt comments:
"Joining a firm with such an ambitious international strategy is an exciting move. Both domestically and internationally, Taylor Wessing has a strong client base and a very clear growth plan, which I very much look forward to being part of."
Rodney Dukes, Head of Finance at Taylor Wessing, comments:
"The strength and depth of our international finance practice is important to our institutional client base and we're delighted to be able to build on that strength, first with Ross's and now Elisabeth's hires."
Ross Caldwell joined Taylor Wessing on 3 January and specialises in real estate finance, acquisition/leveraged finance, oil and gas reserves finance and derivatives.
In addition to Ross and Elisabeth's hires, Taylor Wessing has recently boosted its Data Protection capability with the appointment of Vinod Bange from Speechly Bircham, who started on 4 January.
