Taylor Wessing announces its conversion to LLP status on 1 May 2007
On 1 May 2007 the UK office of the European law firm Taylor Wessing will convert to a limited liability partnership (LLP). The move follows a vote of the UK partners in October 2006. The firm, which comprises 271 partners in its offices across the UK, Germany, France and Belgium, believes the change in status reflects a more effective business model for a large professional organisation.
Managing partner, Michael Frawley, commented:
"Taylor Wessing's conversion to the LLP model is an integral part of the firm's ongoing strategy to grow and consolidate its pan-European business. We believe it is a sensible and effective model for us and will help us continue to provide a high-quality service to our clients."
The conversion to LLP will be followed in January 2009 by a move to spacious new offices in the prestigious New Street Square development off Fetter Lane.
