Taylor Wessing advised Tussauds in relation to a new Holiday Inn at Chessington World of Adventures.
Corporate Partner Richard Bursby, assisted by Associate William Stuart-Lee, advised the owner, Tussauds, in relation to the Franchise Agreement and long-term Management Agreement for a new 150-bed hotel at the adventure theme park, which is scheduled to open in June 2007. The hotel will be a Holiday Inn and the operator is BDL Management Limited.
Following the establishment of two other hotels at Alton Towers theme park, this represents Tussauds' third hotel in the UK and the first operated as franchisee.
Richard Bursby commented, "We are delighted to work with Tussauds for the first time, having previously worked with them in their capacity as shareholders in The London Eye."
CB Richard Ellis acted as consultants to Tussauds, while McGrigors acted for BDL.
