Taylor Wessing advises on fundraising double
Taylor Wessing LLP has recently advised on a duo of funding rounds.
Firstly, a team from the firm's Cambridge office advised University of East Anglia spin-out, IM-Sense, on its £1 million funding round from a consortium of investors, co-led by Braveheart, a technology-focused investor, and venture capitalist, IQ Capital. A number of high net worth individuals also participated in the funding. IM-Sense's technology, IM-Vision, enhances digital photographs and videos automatically and the company intend this technology to be incorporated into the software within camera and mobile phones. The funding will be used to introduce IM-Vision to the market and expand its team.
In a second funding round, Taylor Wessing advised Gartmore Investment Limited on its investment in Turbo Power, a leading UK-based designer and manufacturer of innovative power solutions. Turbo Power raised a total of £3 million through the issue of a loan note to institutional and other investors and will use the money to assist in the financing of new and existing product developments. Gartmore currently holds 11.85% of the issued share capital of Turbo Power.
The Taylor Wessing team advising on these funding rounds was led by David Mardle and comprised Susanna Stanfield, Natasha Kirk and Sam Hogrefe.
