Supported by a multidisciplinary Taylor Wessing team, the long-established California company, renowned worldwide for its Maglite© flashlights, has acquired the insolvent machine builder EUBAMA specialising in rotary transfer machines. EUBAMA is a technology leader in manufacturing metalworking machinery by the rotary transfer principle. As a result of MAG’s acquisition, the majority of jobs and the production facility in Rottweil, Germany, will be preserved. MAG Instrument, Inc. is advised by Jones Day in the USA but trusts Taylor Wessing’s advice in Germany. The legal services provided by Taylor Wessing included tax structuring, negotiating and documentation of the corporate acquisition, and issues of employment and real estate law.
