Taylor Wessing advises last year's fastest growing technology company on acquisition

International law firm Taylor Wessing has advised Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) on being acquired by Velti PLC in a deal worth up to US$59 million. With more than $100 million in gross billings, more than $20 million in net revenues in 2010, and more than 160 employees, MIG has established itself as the UK's leading mobile marketing business.
Founded in 2004, MIG has experienced rapid growth with no external funding. MIG was named the No. 1 'Fastest Growing Privately Owned Technology Business' in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 UK and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA (2010).
The cross-practice team, which was led by Howard Palmer, assisted MIG in forming an agreement that will help to build the world’s largest mobile marketing company, based on revenue, customers, consumer reach and technology holdings. The team included tax and incentives partners Robert Young and Ann Casey with associate Neil McKnight; corporate partner David Mardle and associate Nick Jones; and employment partner Paul Callaghan.
