Taylor Wessing has advised F-Star, a leading antibody engineering company based in Vienna, Austria and Cambridge, UK on a research license and commercialisation agreement using the companies own Modular Antibody Technology, for the discovery of new antibody-derived therapeutics against inflammatory disease targets.

The team at Taylor Wessing  worked to ensure that F-Star will receive undisclosed tired royalties on product sales, as well as fees and funding throughout each development stage, which in aggregate could reach €492 million.

The team was led by Malcolm Bates, partner in the patents team, who was supported by Colin McCall and Loretta Pugh.

 Bates commented:

'We are delighted to have advised F-Star on this collaboration in respect of it's antibody engineering platform. The deal is a further ringing endorsement of the value of F-Star's drug discovery technology'.
