Taylor Wessing advises Emap Limited on its acquisition of leading energy conference and related publications business

International law firm Taylor Wessing has advised new client Emap Limited, the leading business-to-business media group (jointly owned by Guardian Media Group and Apax Partners), on the successful acquisition of The Energy Event and a raft of publications, including: Water, Energy and Environment, Energy Efficient Solutions, Energy Procurement Guide, Water Efficient Solutions and Smart Energy Decisions.

The Energy Event is one of Europe's largest exhibitions and conferences focusing solely on energy, procurement, management and efficiency. Emap's successful acquisition of the event and its related publications clearly signals its ambitious plans for growth and expansion in the energy and environment sector.  Following the successful completion of the deal future Energy Events will be organised by one of the UK's biggest exhibition organisers, with the resources to increase the scale of exhibitions and with the resources to invest in new markets.
