Taylor Wessing LLP has advised long standing client Deutsche Postbank AG on the provision of development finance to Cathedral (Clapham) Limited (a subsidiary of Cathedral Group plc) for the redevelopment of Mary Seacole House and Clapham Leisure Centre, under a public private partnership structure.
The £80 million redevelopment will include a new medical centre, leisure centre, library and affordable and private housing across the two sites. Subordinate debt has been been provided by the Homes and Communities Agency, under the first round of the Kickstart Housing Delivery Programme.
Taylor Wessing's team advising Deutshe Postbank included Rodney Dukes and Marcus Earnshaw (Finance) Sam Nichols and Kate Wansbrough-Jones (Construction) and Raman Sharma and Maddalena Padrin (Real Estate Finance).
Sam Nichols comments:
"We are delighted to have represented Deutsche Postbank AG on this flagship redevelopment scheme for Clapham London. It represents one of the most complex development collaborations between a private sector lender the Homes and Communities Agency to date".
