Taylor Wessing advises Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec in €343m Airport Investment
Taylor Wessing has advised new client, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDP), in their €125m share investment into the HOCHTIEF AirPort Capital KGaA airport portfolio, of which the total transaction amounted to €343m.
HOCHTIEF Airport GmbH (HTA), one of the largest privately-owned independent airport management companies in the world, has sold part of the interests it holds in the airports of Athens, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Sydney to HOCHTIEF AirPort Capital, encompassing about one third each of the interest held by HOCHTIEF in the airports of Athens, Düsseldorf and Hamburg, together with a 49% of its stake in Sydney airport.
Taylor Wessing advised this new client CDP, a state-owned fund manager for public and private pension plans and insurance companies, jointly with the leading Canadian law firm, McCarthy Tétrault LLP, CDP's permanent counsel. The Taylor Wessing team was led by Dr. Rudiger von Hulst (Berlin) and Dr. Achim Glade (Düsseldorf) and was composed of lawyers from the Düsseldorf, Berlin, Hamburg and London offices.
