Taylor Wessing advises Buyer on re-branding of Trophy Hotel

Taylor Wessing's Hotels Group has advised the Buyer on the re-branding of the trophy hotel Le Richemond Hotel in Geneva as the "Le Richemond, Dorchester Collection".  The transaction involved the negotiation of a new Hotel Management Agreement with Dorchester and transition from the incumbent management of the Rocco Forte Group.

Le Richemond is one of Geneva’s most prestigious hotels. Located on the banks of Lake Geneva it has been a destination for international travellers since 1875.

The Taylor Wessing team included lead partner Richard Bursby and senior associate Paul Smith. 

The buyers were also advised by Eszter Major and Yves Jeanrenaud of Schellenberg Wittmer in relation to the Swiss law aspects of the agreements and Cedar Capital advised on other elements of the exercise.

Richard Bursby, head of the firm's Hotels group, commented on the deal:
