Taylor Wessing advised Amadeus Capital Partners, lead investor in the $20 million Series C funding round of CacheLogic, the leading provider of peer-to-peer (P2P) technology to the ISP sector. Existing investor 3i and syndicate members, Pentech Ventures and The Cambridge Gateway Fund also provided support.

Cachelogic will use the new funding to expand sales coverage for the Company’s established P2P technologies into new geographies and extend its product portfolio to provide support for the delivery of legitimate video content. Cachelogic aims to bring its technology and expertise together to facilitate a whole new generation of content distribution over the Internet.

Partner Simon Cornwell of Amadeus commented: “2007 will be the year of first large scale consumer launches of video content, currently being trialled by companies including the BBC, Warner Brothers and NTL. As more content owners embrace peer-to-peer to deliver content, this market has the potential to grow substantially over the next two years and CacheLogic, already a global leader in peer-to-peer, is well positioned to become a major player in this space."

The Taylor Wessing team advising Amadeus comprised of Simon Walker and Michelle Rodrigues (corporate), Charlie Pring (employment), Fleur Benns (employee benefits) and Darren Bezzina (intellectual property).

Partner, Simon Walker comments, “" We were delighted to advise Amadeus on this very significant investment round."
