Taylor Wessing advised Generics Group on technology sale
Taylor Wessing advised The Generics Group, a leading integrated technology consulting, development and investment organisation, on the sale of one of its portfolio companies, Sensopad Technologies Limited (Sensopad), to global electronics manufacturer, TT electronics plc. The sale was for an initial cash consideration of £1.4 million together with future royalties.
Sensopad, based in Cambridge, was formed by The Generics Group in April 2001 and has developed a number of leading edge patented sensor technologies. These sensors have numerous applications in a wide range of key sectors including automotive, domestic appliances, industrial, consumer electronics and children's games.
This acquisition expands TT electronics plc's sensor capabilities and will provide the group with the technology for the next generation of sensors.
