Taylor Wessing advise Avaya on acquisition of Aurix Limited

International law firm Taylor Wessing has advised Avaya, a global provider of business communications and collaboration systems and services, on its acquisition of Aurix, a global provider of speech analytics and audio data mining technology.
The acquisition will enable Avaya to further develop their services by adding speech analytics to Contact Center and Unified Communications, as well as developing a phonetic audio search engine built on scalable, open architecture which will enable real-time and historical analysis of one-to-one or group spoken interactions.
The cross-firm group was led by partner Mark Barron, and included Philip Shepherd and Nicholas Jones from the Corporate team, Sian Skelton advising on Intellectual Property, Ian Malone assisting on Pensions, Neil McKnight on Tax and John Plant and Anna McCaffrey on Employment.
