Taylor Wessing act for Bank of Montreal on $12.7 billion of SIV liquidity facilities

Taylor Wessing LLP acted for Bank of Montreal, London branch, as liquidity bank in relation to committed facilities for $12.7 billion.

The $11billion facility for Links Finance Corporation and the €1.15billion facility for Parkland Finance Corporation stabilised the ratings of the senior notes of these vehicles.   Bank of Montreal, London branch, are the investment and funding manager of Links and Parkland.

Marke Raines, who acted for Bank of Montreal on the establishment of these vehicles earlier in his career, led the Taylor Wessing team that included Clive Cunningham (financial services regulatory), Nikol Davies (tax) and Belén Caldas Fariñas (securitisation).   Marke also acted for Citibank on the establishment of their Centauri SIV.

The Taylor Wessing team have been advising a number of other SIV managers and investors, as well as trustees of impaired CDOs.
