Private Client Partner Andrew Goodman named in The Lawyer's 'Hot 100' for 2010

05-Jan-2010  |  Private Client

Taylor Wessing's Private Client practice has started 2010 on a high, with the inclusion of partner Andrew Goodman in The Lawyer's prestigious ‘Hot 100’. Published annually, the Hot 100 highlights "100 lawyers who were at the top of their game during the last year and who are set to shape the legal landscape in the 12 months ahead".

This prestigious list also singles out new talent and is "as much about recognising lawyers who are on the way up as those who currently lead the market". Andrew's inclusion comes shortly after he was made up to partner after 8 years at Taylor Wessing, and The Lawyer comments that he "barely had time to let the fact of his making partner in 2008 sink in before becoming recognised as a leading private client practitioner."

Andrew specialises in all aspects of personal tax and estate planning, particularly onshore and offshore trusts and related litigation. He regularly acts for multinational families with cross-border investments, succession issues and philanthropic tendencies as well as professional trustees in Jersey, Guernsey, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. In 2008 he acted for the trustees in the case of Breakspear v Ackland, which is widely recognised as the leading authority on the disclosure of information, and in particular a letter of wishes, to beneficiaries. This case was highlighted by the judging panel when Taylor Wessing was awarded "Private Client Team of the Year" at The Lawyer Awards 2009.
