Partner Ryan Myint becomes General Editor of the Journal of International Tax, Trust and Corporate Planning

From January 2011 Taylor Wessing’s private client partner Ryan Myint has assumed the role of General Editor of The Journal of International Tax, Trust and Corporate Planning. The Journal’s name (formerly The Journal of International Trust and Corporate Planning) has recently been updated to reflect its increasing emphasis on cross-border tax issues, whether personal or corporate.

Ryan has taken over the position of General Editor from the Journal’s founder David Brownbill QC, one of the UK’s foremost practitioners in all aspects of trusts and related company matters.

Speaking about his new role Ryan said:

“I am really excited about the opportunity to bring a new generation of writers and readers to the JournalIt was David Brownbill who first brought me on board as a contributor in 2000.  David is one of the giants of this field and I am honoured to follow in his footsteps as General Editor”.

Ryan is a Cambridge law graduate who qualified as a solicitor in 2001 at Withers. He subsequently practised in the private client group at Clifford Chance before joining Taylor Wessing in 2004, where he became a partner in 2010.  Ryan is an international tax planning specialist and has been successfully nominated for the Private Client Practitioner ‘Top 35 Under 35’ in 2009 and 2010.  

He advises on a variety of planning structures required in jurisdictions such as Bermuda, The British Virgin Islands, The Cayman Islands, Jersey, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.  His clients include entrepreneurs, fund managers, property developers, high net worth families and leading international trust companies.
