Mobile mis-selling: New rules imposed

On 16 September 2009 communication providers will have a new General Condition (GC23) to comply with covering the mis-selling of mobile telecommunications services. Failure to comply could result in the handing out of a fine representing up to 10% of the provider's relevant turnover. A separate consultation is currently open concerning mis-selling in the fixed line market which closes on 27 May 2009.
