Taylor Wessing has published an updated guide which sets out in general terms issues arising in connection with an initial public offer for securities in the United Kingdom.
The Guide
The purpose of this guide is to provide a background to the procedures for listing shares on the three principal London equity markets. These are the Official List maintained by the UKLA (with admission to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, the PLUS-listed market or NYSE Euronext London), AIM and the PLUS-quoted market.
Admission to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, the PLUS-listed market and NYSE Euronext London will require an application for admission to the Official List (in conjunction with an application for admission to trading on the relevant market).
