We are delighted to announce that Taylor Wessings senior associate, Clare Peacock, has been recognised as a UK Young Dealmaker of the Year 2011 at the Mergermarket awards. The new award acknowledging top junior team members in the UK, rewarded Clare's outstanding achievement on M&A transactions during the past 12 months.

Clare joined the Corporate, Commercial and Project practice group in 2008, and has since acted for UK and international clients on a variety of cross-border transactions and is a member of the Hotels & Leisure business group with particular experience in advising on hotel projects both in the UK and around the world. She is also part of the Consumer Products (FMCG) business group working with clients in the fast moving consumer goods sector.

Clare says "I am very pleased to have been awarded a place in this category. I aim to understand how my clients' businesses work rather than focusing on the pure legalities of transactions.  Clients want to know that their lawyer understands their business, and how they can contribute to the success of the company."

Mergermarket announced "All of the young dealmakers have proven their M&A skills during a period when the world has experienced some of the most challenging economic and market conditions for over 60 year," said Philip Whitchelo, a judge on the panel for the awards "These awards recognise the achievements of a new generation of dealmakers who will become the leading lights of our industry in the years to come."
