From 6 April 2006, there will be stricter building regulation controls on ventilation and fuel and power in an effort to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
The changes being introduced will be performance-based and therefore will not require particular technologies to be used, which will give designers and builders some flexibility on how to meet the new standards.
