Appleby Spurling Hunter Partner with Taylor Wessing and step for trust disputes conference
Appleby Spurling Hunter, together with European law firm, Taylor Wessing, one of the leading law firms in the area of private client practice and trust and estate litigation, will conduct a comprehensive two-day Trusts Disputes course in conjunction with the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).
The course, slated to be held at Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI) on 2-3 June, will provide insights on all aspects of trust litigation from the trustee's perspective; offer a practical and up to date review of the issues that give rise to litigation; and discussion on how trustees might avoid litigation arising. Toby Graham and Kate James from the Taylor Wessing Contentious Trusts and Estates Group, will present the UK overview. Arabella di Iorio, a member of Appleby's Commercial Litigation Team, will provide the Bermudan angle.
Randall Krebs, the Appleby Trust Team Leader noted, "The union of Appleby and Taylor Wessing in relation to the presentation of this course provides for an excellent partnership in that Taylor Wessing is very well known and respected in the trust industry and Appleby is experienced both locally and internationally. Combined we will provide in-depth insights and key information with regard to recent trends in the Trust industry."
Kate James of Taylor Wessing said, "Both Appleby and Taylor Wessing have contributed significantly to help make this event a success. We encourage trust professionals to participate as the course will provide the opportunity for on-island advanced professional development."
