Wolfgang Schaller specialises in real estate, insurance and procedural law. His range of services in real estate extends to the negotiating of and advising on the purchase and sale of real property, commercial tenancy agreements, devising and issuing of prospectuses for real estate funds as well as negotiating and concluding distribution agreements, project development contracts including the related corporate restructuring. His clients in insurance and distribution matters, who he advises and represents in court and out of court, include a number of renowned, internationally operating direct insurers and reinsurance companies.
Wolfgang Schaller passed the first and second legal state exams in 1985 and 1988, respectively, at the University of Munich. From 1 March 1988 to 30 March 1993 he worked for the central legal department of Bayerische Beamten Lebensversicherung, and as head of their legal department since 1 July 1991. In April 1993 he started working for the law firm Schwarz Kurtze Schniewind Kelwing Wicke, Munich, and was promoted partner on 1 January 1996. On 1 January 2006 he joined the Munich office of Taylor Wessing as a partner.
Wolfgang Schaller regularly publishes on real estate issues, especially in Immobilienzeitung. He is a member of DAV (German Lawyers' Association), Gesellschaft für immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung e. V. (gif – real estate management research association) and cre.net e. V. Wolfgang Schaller delivers lectures on real estate topics at the Biberach University of Applied Sciences and the European Business School (ebs).
