Ursel Paal is specialized in counselling commercial companies on legal issues relating to product safety and product marketability as well as product labelling. The pertinent main issues are the labelling, distribution and advertising of food products as well as drug authorization. Amongst her clients are national and international companies manufacturing and marketing nutritional supplements and dietary food.
Ursel Paal was awarded the doctor's degree in international law at the University of Würzburg and was admitted to the bar in 1983. Before her admission to the bar Ursel Paal was assistant professor at the Institute for Public International Law of the University of Würzburg.
Ursel Paal is the author of an introduction to the German Foodstuff Act published by Sweet & Maxwell in the anthology "German Tax and Business Law". She is member of the Bund für Lebensmittelrecht und Lebensmittelkunde (BU), the association for food law and food science.
Ursel, a native German speaker, is also fluent in English and French.
