As the Head of the Financial Institutions & Markets Group at Taylor Wessing, Tim specialises in advising substantial listed and quoted companies on corporate finance transactions (including new issues and M&A) and legal issues affecting corporate policy and strategy. Last year, Taylor Wessing’s UK securities group advised clients on transactions that raised over $1bn, and on public M&A deals with a value in excess of £2bn.
His areas of specialisation include initial public offers, secondary issues and takeover offers as well as advising sponsors, investment banks and brokers in respect of such transactions. Tim advises on a range of industry sectors including the technology sector, for which Taylor Wessing is renowned, having recently been awarded the accolade “Technology Law Firm of the Year.”
Tim is a regular commentator on issues affecting the European securities markets and has recently been quoted in a range of publications including The Times, The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph and Legal Week, and contributes regularly to CNBC's business breakfast show.
He is well known in the City for leading a "highly respected team" at Taylor Wessing which was, under his leadership, nominated for "Equity Capital Markets Team of the Year". A member of the Law Society of England and Wales, Tim has an LLB from Liverpool University.
