Thomas Wisniewski specializes in corporate tax law and the legal tax treatment of both incoming and outgoing investment allocations. He also advises foreign and domestic businesses in tax matters, including corporate restructuring (Mergers & Acquisitions, (partial) division, spin-off, changes of legal status) according to the Reorganization of Companies Act (Umwandlungsgesetz) and the Tax Reorganization Act (Umwandlungssteuergesetz). A further area of expertise of his is the legal tax treatment of real estate transaction.
In 1992 and 1994, after his studies in Berlin, Thomas Wisniewski passed his final exams (Staatsexamen), and has been practicing law since 1995. Furthermore, as of 2005, he has been admitted to practice as a tax lawyer specifically.
In the field of Tax Reorganization Law (Umwandlungssteuerrecht), Thomas Wisniewski has been published in numerous legal journals, and moreover, is one of the contributing authors of a standard commentary to the Tax Reorganization Act.
