Thomas is a member of the Practice Area Corporate. He advises on all areas of company law, in particular related to public and private limited companies (AG, GmbH), on mergers and acquisitions and the adherent issues of commercial law.
Thomas studied law at the universities in Münster and Zaragoza/Spain. He passed his First Legal State Exam in Hamm in 2003 and his Second Legal State Exam in Düsseldorf in 2006. In the course of a research visit Thomas stayed at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid in 2003 and 2004.
Thomas has published the following articles in professional journals:
- Lüdicke/Kaiser, German capital transfer tax and the transfer of interests in a (German) limited partnership held by a fiduciary, DStR 2005, 1926 ff.
- Báez Moreno/Kaiser, Fair Value and the Spanish corporate income tax – Comments on the suitability of IFRS for taxation –, StuW 2/2007, 172 ff.
He is a member of the German-Spanish Lawyers’ Association.
