Sven-Michael is a member of our China desk and specialises in the field of trade and foreign direct investment in mainland China and Hong Kong. He advises on corporate, technology transfer, commercial and real estate law as well as on legal aspects of finance, corporate restructuring and liquidation.
He was educated at Hamburg University for his law degree and at the University of Hong Kong in Chinese commercial and foreign investment law. For his doctoral thesis on the return of Hong Kong to China he obtained a Ph.D. degree from Hamburg University. After two years of legal practice in China with positions at a leading international law firm in Shanghai and at the German Embassy in Beijing Sven-Michael was admitted to the bar in January 2004 when he jointed our office in Munich.
Sven-Michael publishes regularly on law issues relating to China and serves as a speaker on China-related seminars and training, e. g. with the Munich Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
