Stephan is a member of the General Corporate Practice Area. He advises and represents corporate clients from Germany and from overseas on all issues of cross-border corporate and contract law. A particular focus of Stephan’s practice is advising corporations on Franco-German commercial transactions.
After passing the Franco-German Master of Laws at the Universities of Cologne and Paris I (Panthéon/Sorbonne) Stephan continued his studies at the University of Münster where he passed the first state legal examination in 2007. He wrote his doctor’s thesis on a topic of French and European procedural law at the University of Cologne. During his legal training he worked with Taylor Wessing in Hamburg, with the Franco-German chamber of commerce in Paris and with a large commercial law firm in Sydney. After successfully passing his second state legal examination in 2011, he was admitted as a practising lawyer.
Stephan’s native language is German and he is fluent in English and French.
