Stefan is a member of the Practice Area Commercial Agreements. He advises clients on all issues of national and international commercial and contract law. Furthermore he is specialized in litigation and advises and represents national and international clients in all questions of implementing claims in and out of court.
After having studied law in Bielefeld, Stefan completed the German legal state exams in 2005 and 2008 in Hamm and Düsseldorf. He worked inter alia at the legal department of a world-wide operating trading company as well as in an international law firm as a trainee lawyer. During 2005 to 2009, he worked at the University of Bielefeld at civil and business law institutes. As a scholar of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes) he wrote a comparative laws focussed dissertation on the interpretation of the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and received his doctorate in 2010. He was admitted to the Düsseldorf bar in 2009 and started as a lawyer in a middle-sized business-law firm with international approach where he was primarily active in litigation, but also in the areas trade and contract law as well as corporate law. In January 2012 he joined the Düsseldorf office of Taylor Wessing.
Stefan has (co-) published articles with focus on procedure law.
Stefan, a native German speaker, is fluent in English and has an advanced knowledge of French.
