Shane heads the Financial Disputes group of Taylor Wessing and specialises in dispute resolution and investigations in the banking and finance sector. He has wide-ranging experience in acting for financial institutions and companies in complex litigation and regulatory disputes.
He regularly acts in arbitrations before the major arbitral bodies involving disputes in the finance, energy, technology and telecommunications sectors, and has wide-ranging experience of interim applications before the Courts in support of arbitration.
Shane also advises clients in relation to all aspects of regulatory and disciplinary investigations/proceedings and government inquiries. Chambers (contentious regulatory) notes that he is praised by one interviewee for his "excellent case preparation and well-thought-out, commercial advice."
He is recognised in the area of banking litigation, commercial litigation and contentious regulatory by Chambers, Legal 500 and Legal Experts. Shane has extensive experience acting in contentious matters for clients in the (re)insurance and technology sectors.
He has a Masters of Law in Banking and Finance from the University of London (King’s College).
