Sascha is a member of the Practice Group Intellectual Property. As a main focus of his work he advises enterprises from the information technology and telecommunications industry in all contentious and non-contentious matters with a special focus on software, licensing, telecommunications law, e-commerce and data protection related issues as well as in sector specific questions concerning general civil and commercial law. Apart from drafting contracts his work also comprises the legal supervision of technology orientated transactions and complex IT projects in the area of outsourcing and licence management.
Sascha studied law at the University Düsseldorf and passed his first legal state exam in 1999. During his legal training (Referendariat) he worked for an international law firm in Frankfurt am Main. After his second legal state exam Sascha worked as a Senior Research Assistant at the Center of Intellectual Property Law of the University of Düsseldorf (Prof. Dr. Jan Busche) and received a doctorate for a dissertation on Value-Added Services (“Mehrwertdienste”) in 2005. Sascha obtained a Master of Laws degree in November 2007 from the University of Düsseldorf. During his Masters studies he focused on multimedia, telecommunication and information technology law. Sascha works as a lawyer since the beginning of 2006. He is a visiting lecturer on consumer protection and drafting contracts at the University of Düsseldorf.
Sascha regularly publishes in legal publications about topics related to information technology and telecommunication.
Sascha, a native German speaker, has a good knowledge of English and French.
