Sabine Claus is a member of the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice Departments. She specialises in copyright and media law and advises on all aspects of e-commerce, privacy and internet law. Moreover, she gives advice in the classic fields of intellectual property and competition law, contentious as well as non-contentious.
Sabine Claus studied law at the Universities of Saarbrücken, Bonn, Hamburg and Thessaloniki. She holds the French law degree D.E.U.G., mention droit. Her postgraduate professional training included internships at the German Mission to the United Nations in New York and to the legal department of the French-German broadcaster "arte" in Strasbourg, France.
She wrote her doctoral thesis on a subject of media law, which was published unter the title "Post mortem protection of personal rights in the light of commercialization" in 2004.
Sabine Claus is a member of the German association of IP lawyers, GRUR e.V. Sabine Claus' first language is German. She speaks English and French fluently.
