Richard specialises in property investment and development work on behalf of major property companies. He also leads the UK Real Estate Investment team for Taylor Wessing in London. Richard is highly experienced in advising on large scale commercial transactions in all sectors. Some recent deals and transactions Richard has led include:

• The purchase and leaseback of the UK portfolio of hospitals and nursing homes of Capio AG for Prestbury 1 Limited Partnership for £630m.
• The purchase and leaseback of the major entertainment sites in England and Germany (including Madame Tussauds, Thorpe Park and Alton Towers) from Merlin Entertainment Group for Prestbury 1 Limited Partnership for £650m.
• The purchase and leaseback of 30 night clubs in the UK from Luminar plc for Prestbury 1 Limited Partnership for approx £70m.
• The purchase and leaseback of 220 Iceland and Booker units from the Big Food Group plc on behalf of a consortium of investors comprising Prestbury Investment Holdings Limited, Bank of Scotland, and West Coast Capital for £250m.
• The purchase and leaseback of 210 pubs from the Spirit Group by a consortium comprising Prestbury Investment Holdings Limited, Bank of Scotland, and West Coast Capital for £495m.
• Purchase of a 200 acre industrial/warehousing investment and development site at Bedford and two city centre investment/development sites at Redcliff Square, Bristol, and Oxford Town centre for Carlyle Skelton Investments.
• Purchase and sale of major London properties for Derwent London plc.
• The acquisition of Bourne End Properties Plc on behalf of investors lead by Merrill Lynch Real Estate Finance including all property and loan related matters for a value in excess of160m.
• Property and corporate reorganisation of Burford Group Limited in conjunction with others.
• The sale of investment assets on behalf of Skelton Group Limited for an excess of £200m.
• The sale of the entire industrial portfolio of Resolution Property Plc to Saville Gordon Estates Plc for £l00m.
