Philippe is a partner in the Brussels office and specialises in employment, social security and pension law.
He advises clients on all employment and social security aspects of their daily operations in Belgium (e.g. new appointments, termination of employment, salary splits, secondments, employee benefit and incentive plans and share scheme) as well as on a wide variety of other matters relating to the individual and collective relationship between employers and employees.
He has developed particular expertise in the employment, social security and pension law aspects of mergers and acquisitions and workforce restructuring (e.g. collective dismissal, company closure, transfer of an undertaking) and has considerable experience of employment and social security law litigation.
Philippe studied law in Namur, Leipzig (Erasmus) and Leuven as well as European law in Strasbourg. He also studied Human Resources Management at the University College Brussels (EMS EHSAL).
Before joining Taylor Wessing he worked for Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck & Kirkpatrick, Altius and Ashurst. Philippe is a member of the Brussels bar since 1995 and a regular speaker at seminars on employment law related topic.
He is fluent in Dutch, French and English.
